Toothache Remedies Right Off your Kitchen
Before I enter into the topic, I just want to welcome you to my website!
My name is Jorhan Hauz and I am dentist student at the Centro Escolar University in Manila. I hope you find the information on the site useful, as dentistry is my main passion.
Now let’s get into the matter:
As some would say, they could bear any type of body pain but never a toothache. Once it manifests, it could get to the point of being unbearable that it shoots up the head and paralyzes you. It prevents you from moving and all you want to do is linger in bed, hoping that the pain would go away in the blink of an eye. So to prevent yourself from becoming idle just because of one nasty aching tooth, here are some toothache remedies that you might find somewhere in your cupboard.
Who said that seasonings or condiments are just for spicing up that rack of lamb or jerk chicken recipe? The reliable ensemble of salt-and-pepper could do just as much magic for a toothache. This mix is one of the easiest toothache remedies to whip, and there’s no reason why you wouldn’t have it in the cupboard or countertop.
Rock salt may be used in any of these ways:
A. When mixed with a clove of crushed garlic, it could be used for direct palliative treatment. Place it on the tooth or, if you can muster the taste, chew on the clove every morning when there’s pain.
B. A quarter of a teaspoon of salt plus a dash of pepper may also be of some help. It could also come in handy for bleeding and painful gums and dental cavities.
C. The simplest of all gargling solutions – water plus a teaspoon of salt – swished after every meal could also be a toothache remedy.
Pepper, on the other hand, may be incorporated in clove oil and placed upon cavities that cause pain.
Herbs, as always, have been deemed as beneficial in medical conditions. Some that may be used as toothache remedies are wheatgrass juice, oil of cloves or oil of oregano. Clove oil has gained much popularity among the three because of its anesthetic and antiseptic faculties that it can offer pain relief right on the spot.
But always remember that an ache or pain is a symptom of an underlying problem. So if you’re experiencing toothaches that are becoming sort of regular, better have the condition checked. Chances are, there is developing decay that could get worse if you’ll remain content with handy toothache remedies, constantly chewing on garlic cloves or placing icepacks on your cheeks every 30 minutes, believing that the pain will puff out in an instant.
